Speaker 1: In 2017, I started learning how to convert a group channel's ideas into small movies. What you see on your screens in 2022 is not my videos, it's just some experiences. That's why it's not a tutorial, but a real life experience. I'm not an editing expert, I'm a filmmaker slash creator who converts his amazing ideas who gives his ideas a digital form. And editing is just cutting and taping those ideas together. Nothing else, we forget this. And we rush into the part where we cut and make a structure. This should be the main priority. Every video, every story should have a flow. In which there are gaps, pauses, which is called breathing space. The main thing about Hollywood editors is that they know where to cut it. Because on top of that observation, the level of an edit increases. Sometimes listen to the interviews of Hollywood Oscar-winning editors. In the cutting part, spend some time on observation. How long do you have to keep gaps and pauses? These are videos, but it's a movie, right? Not an Instagram reel. Unless it is. Start slow, end slow. The more basic it sounds, the more basic it is. Whether it's a movie or a video or cardio in the dark. Start the process slow. I'm not talking about stories or videos. Slow down the editing process. Especially in the starting and ending. Why? If you start with a concentrated, conscious mind in the starting, which will correctly bring the editing process into a flow. But break that flow for the end. Whatever you are doing in the ending, edit it with a little time. Decisions at the time of ending are very important. Because you have already edited the whole video. You know what happened. If you slow down the editing process, the last and major decisions to wrap up the whole video, you will take less bad decisions. Keep away from decisions and maths. Use any editing app. There are four more numbers on it. Which also have solid reasons. Mathematical reasons. How many points should I go? How many stops should I stop? All this is fine. If you are shooting 8-bit, and if there is no near-perfect exposure, then most of the time these rules will not work. So if you are doing it for yourself, then before taking any decision, give priority to these three. Things will be less frustrating. Sub-point. Start with raw and add water slowly. Meaning, any sliders you are doing here and there, any pointers, sliders, curves, anything, first go extreme according to your eyes, then slowly reduce it. Before knowing its psychology, you know that the biggest part of amateur-looking videos is everything is too much. They don't know where to stop. According to your eyes, if you keep reducing it from a high point, till you are satisfied, it will disappear from amateur-vibe videos. Because a little less, doesn't spoil the work. Same with our ears, which understand audio levels like this. Politicians are different. But if in one video, audio levels are going up and down, then? Every recorded, downloaded music or audio, according to the bit rates, their levels are very different. If you don't do anything and just keep it on a timeline, still its level goes up and down, which is very unprofessional. That's why in every application, there is a guide, in which you can see what is your audio level. Every audio level should be at this point. Some sounds have a high level, to bring them to the levels, if you reduce the volume, then the total vibe of the song also decreases. You can use a low pass filter, to reduce the highs. Now, the most interesting and the strongest point of my whole experience. But it came up, my interest in editing, after hearing the name of color grading. There are a lot of tools, techniques, styles, opinions come in this. Whatever you are doing, take a break from the main editing. If you are time privileged enough, give a break of at least a few hours. Now during the break, look at natural things, natural colors. Black, dark, type of grading or look and feel you like, then after grading it, check it, by turning on normal natural light or room light, not in low light. You can grade in low light, but checking it in natural light or in normal room light. Because everyone will not watch your videos. So turn on the lights and check it at last. With this word, I will connect a sub point in a very clever way. Add the actual grade at last. If you are using softwares like Premiere Pro or Resolve, or you will do all grading or corrections on nodes or lumetri colors. If after doing the main grading, on which you give shadow, mid-tone, highlights, colors, if you are using Gaussian blur, mask, then there is a problem in actual toning. So after everything is done, after everything is done, on shadows, mids and highs, colors, at last. So that all tones are even. Now the strongest and most important one of this video. If you don't want to sell only by wrapping in CV, then start learning from one application or software. Become an expert on it. Know your requirements first. Based on that, choose one software. If you are using mobile apps, and if you are concentrated, serious about it obviously, then try to upgrade, plan to upgrade to a PC. Till then learn a solid app. The core editing, main cuts, audio, video, colors, learn to do it properly in that application. Not relying on the magical AI effects or something. Then when you come to a PC, it won't look hard or incomplete. Because the core editing is the same. Same thing with effects. There are thousands and millions of effects, which won't work the most. Obviously, after learning some core things, learn the solving effects of the problems that will come. But don't focus too much on those covering things. I'm not talking about VFX. In core editing, simple things are complex. There is no need to complicate its process. This is the most important point. Nothing is more important than this. Because you won't die 15 years before from bad postures. Before dying. But always remember, give time to skills. It may take time to observe or synchronize at first. But slowly, everything will be fine. In the last video, some people were saying that instead of this lens filter, Vaseline or Fungus will also work on the lens. Absolutely. There are many toys available online for girls. Does it work? Ask.
