+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: What's going on guys, Sean from Catch 22, the Nonprofit Academy. Today's video is all about applying for Google for Nonprofits in 2024. What's new, what's hot and what's different and how to apply. So before we dive into the video, don't forget to like and subscribe to the channel. It helps me put out more great videos for you guys. So now let's dive into the video. Okay. So TechSoup is out and Percent is in. So before, when you used to have to apply for Google for Nonprofits, you had to go through this whole process through TechSoup and you can do that, TechSoup, TechSoup was the verifier that went and made sure that you got approved for Google for Nonprofits. They were long, they schlepped out, they were arduous, it was a problem. They ran to several different problems because a lot of people thought that they could use Google Grants for their businesses, make dummy nonprofits and use Google Grants for the businesses. That's a whole nother video in its own right. I'll talk about that on another upload, but TechSoup is gone. Percent is in. Who is Percent? It's basically a company that has been taking over the application process. They're supposed to come in and make sure things go smoother, faster, easier, less fraud, et cetera. Well, that's not so much the case because they have been flagged for several different things in terms of people trying to defraud Google for Nonprofits. Like I said, creating dummy nonprofits, try to get the grant run for your business. Not the best idea. Anyways, the process is very simple. It's basically the same thing as with TechSoup, except now you're uploading your information to Percent. Percent is using bots and AI and other things to make the process go a little bit faster in terms of the screening. Typically the turnaround time would be two to five days, as opposed to TechSoup would be anywhere between two to 14 days. That's pretty much the main key difference. The application process is the same. You go on to google.nonprofits.org, fill out the information, upload your information, upload your documentation, and you should be hearing back from them within two to five days. As I said, Google for Nonprofits is open to any registered nonprofit throughout the world. There are some exceptions to that, but not many. Within Google for Nonprofits, you are getting Google at the Google Ad Grant, which everyone knows. You are getting Google Workspace for your nonprofit that gives you as many users as you want with Google Workspace, branded emails, and up to a terabyte of storage per drive. You get Google Maps for free for nonprofits, which, okay, great, no one cares. And now YouTube for Nonprofits, which they've done a whole revamp on YouTube for Nonprofits, which includes YouTube fundraising. So if you watch my video about YouTube fundraising, you can learn all about that. So this is how you apply for Google for Nonprofits in 2024. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns and want our help to help to apply for your grant, you can reach out to us. My calendar is in the comments of the video. And until the next upload, I'll catch you guys later.
