Speaker 1: Call it out. This training sucks. Be real. When you are real with your employees and they come in on that first day and you're like, oh guys, we got this compliance training we got to do. It's a little dry. Don't get excited about it. Just be like, we're sorry, but it has to be done. It sucks. And we're sorry about that. So that's number one. Just call it out. Be real. Don't hide anything, right? Be real. Don't hide. This isn't hide and seek. People appreciate it, right? Because
Speaker 2: hey, listen, we all have to take trainings that are a little dry, that are unengaging. Sometimes it has to happen. Sometimes we just got to do it. So be honest, be real. People appreciate it. Then
Speaker 1: what you want to do is make the training as painless as possible. Painless as possible. So a lot of times with the mandatory training, there's just a bunch of filler in there. Yeah. And some of the filler is required and you're going to have to do it for compliance reasons. But if there's anything in there that is just filler, take it out. Distill it down. Make it painless. Distill it down. Now, number three is transform that training into e-learning. The less that you have to do, the happier you're going to be. You don't want to deliver the training as much as the learners don't want to take the training. So why deliver it when you can build it for free? Yeah. No, seriously. Speaker 2: down painless information? The fourth thing is actually have rewards. Actually have rewards. Actually have incentives. That is extremely important in order to make this mandatory training engaging and also has some sort of result for the employee that they can look forward to in addition to quote unquote having to do it. There's plenty of training that they have to do so that they comply with different things. We're going to make it as painless as possible. Oh, also, we're going to have it in e-learning so that you can kind of do it on your own time. You don't have to interact with one of us. And guess what? We're going to give you some extra PTO and a bonus for completing it. Now I'm pumped because I'm like, wow, they're not lying to me. They're not saying, oh yeah, this is going to be amazing. I'm going to get extra PTO and or a bonus for doing this. And I can do it on my own time. And they've made it as painless as possible.
