Speaker 1: Hello and welcome back to Gaming with Mim. Today I'm here to bring you a little bit of a tutorial. So I've recently come across this new, or this translation captions option, and I figured I probably will get a bunch of questions about it, so I figured I'd just make a quick video for you guys, because I think it's pretty cool. And so you'll see on the screen, I came across this guy's channel. He's a YouTuber, a Japanese YouTuber. His name is Kazuya Seto, and he had them, these translated captions from Japanese and then English below. So that was really cool, and so I reached out to him, and he shared some information with me. So he sent me this. This guy's information, and this is the creator of the software that we're going to use, or the API that we're going to use. His name is Sayonari, and he's great. Like, he was really helpful. So this is the link, and so everything will be linked in the description of this video. So this is the link that he sent me that I have for the translation information. So as you notice, it's all in Japanese, but if I right click and choose translate to English. Boom. It's in English. So that's helpful. So we just went through this tutorial, so this gives you information. There's also a video that you can watch. um Explains how to do it. But basically, if you just follow it, then you can do it, too. But I'm just going to go through it with you. um So these are all the settings. ? . ? ? . and then, so basically, you'll click on this button here, and it'll ask you to do this. công effort을 캽 .php 過約確実行伸 500,000,000 元。 And in this video, I think it's showing you a previous and older version. This is a newer version, and that's what I'm using. So you click on this link here, and I've already done it, it'll open up this page here. And again, it's in Japanese, so translate to English, that's your friend. So that'll show you what everything is in English. So you can choose here, so you can choose the colors here, how you want your colors to show up, what you want your background to be, so you can change those, and like if I wanted to change it to blue, you'll see that it changes. So you can change your colors of your display, so for both the recognition, which is your speaking in English, as well as the translation colors, and it shows that you can do up to two different translations. So down here, these are just like the size of your text. Okay. So you can change the size of your text and everything, and how you want it to show up. Okay. Down here is your recognition language, so I'm speaking English, so I'm going to choose English, and I'm going to choose the language that I want it to translate to, and I chose Japanese. Okay. So that's that. So there, as I said, there is a second one as well if you wanted to do that, I only did the one, because it takes up some space, and I don't think I need more than one other translation. So that's that. So then what happens is it gives you this URL here with all the code, basically, just everything that you chose, it creates the code. So in the settings, it'll talk you through all of this, you go through all these things, and then what you're going to need to go to is you're going to have to create this translation API using Apps Script. So you're going to want to do this in Chrome, I didn't mention that before, in Google Chrome, because what is using Chrome? Google Chrome. It's using Google Translate, and it's using Google Apps Script. So you will need to do this in Google Chrome, it's not going to work in other browsers. Okay, so there's this function syntax here that you're going to want to copy, okay? So you're going to copy it. You're going to go to your Google Apps Script, and you can get to it from your nine square, like your apps here, and you're going to just paste it in, and I'm just going to replace what's here because there's already some stuff here, but you don't want extra stuff, so I'm just going to paste over it. Okay, and that looks good. So you just want to make sure that everything looks right, and then the next tip is you got to save it. So I've just created this new one, and it's called test, so you can name it whatever you want to name it. And then you're going to click deploy, okay, and you're going to choose new deployment. Okay, and then you're going to choose what type, and you want it to be a web app, okay? And so you can, we'll just call this one test, and here you want it to execute as yourself, so it's executing as me, gaming with them. And who has access to it? It's not only going to be myself, it's going to be anyone, so I want, because I want everybody to be able to see it. Okay, so then I'm going to choose deploy, and again, all of these instructions are listed in that tutorial. Okay, so it's building up this deployment, so it's getting it ready. Okay, so now what we get is we get this deployment ID and a web app URL, okay? So what we're going to do is we're going to copy this. This is the deployment ID, which is technically, it's basically the same thing. It's all the end of this, but without the front part. And then you'll go down here and click done, and as I said before, this is all like listed in the instructions here. Okay. So then what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to create a web app. Okay. Okay. So you're going to want to add the deployment ID down here at the, down here in this, at the bottom. No, it's at the top. Sorry. We're going to add that here. And what you also want to do is make sure the back, the end of this here where it says key is the same. So I'm just going to go ahead and paste it again just to be sure. Okay. But it should add it. Okay. So now you're going to want to refresh and what's going to happen is you should see, let me close this, you should see now, um, it translating. Yep. There we go. So it does take a little bit of a second for it to kind of, uh, translate what I'm saying. And I will mention here that I have noticed that, um, some of the translations are a bit scuffed. Um, like see? It just doesn't work. See? It just said stuffed instead of scuffed. Um, and so it could just be me talking too fast or my voice or I don't pronunciate as well. So it depends on how you speak, I guess. Um, but you may notice that the translation is not perfect. Yeah. As you can see. Um, also the other thing I noticed too is as it's, um, listening to my words and it's trying to translate, it does kind of sometimes, um, like, I guess it's using like AI to figure it out, like, and it'll auto correct maybe what it's saying. So it first said adult, but then it changed it because it was like, no, that doesn't fit this sentence. So it's kind of, it's pretty smart. It's pretty cool. It's not perfect though. So also, um, in the instructions, once you get that part working and you're happy with it. I will tell you too, I did have a friend of mine that does know a little bit of Japanese, not a lot, but a little bit. And, um, they said that it did, uh, for the, for the things that I was saying that they knew the words to, it was working with the translation was looking correct. So that's good. Okay. Um, so back to the instructions. So there's some tricks here, some tips, some information, but also, um, instructions here on, if you're using OBS and how to put that in, um, into OBS. Which is what I'm using and that is working good. Um, I will mention that, um, you can only have one of these running at a time. It will, it'll break it if you have more windows open. So only have the one translation window open at a time. I suggest bookmarking it once you get it, um, configured the way you like it, just so it's easy to access. And, um, I just pull out the tab and have, um, that window open, um, kind of in the background. If you notice. That your translations have stopped, then make sure that you click on the tab again, just to make it an active window. Um, just so that it, um, sees it again. So those are my tips. Again, I only have just started using this, so I'm not an expert at this at all. I did not create it. Um, but I think it's pretty cool and I'm happy to be able to try and use it. And, um, hopefully this will give you the information that you need if you're interested in trying it out yourself. All right. Enjoy. Bye.
