+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: I think that a student that tries to present themselves professionally, they come out, they have to be not shy, they have to be assertive, state their name, what they're looking for, things like that. I let them stand out that they have the ability to interact.
Speaker 2: Obviously your name, and your major, and then I think it's really important to feel prepared to say something about your skills and your interests, because sometimes we're looking for diverse types of people, and so if you're able to say, you know, my name is so-and-so, this is my area of study, I have these and these skills and interests, that can be really helpful for us in determining if you would be a great applicant for us.
Speaker 3: I think it's helpful if they already come prepared with, you know, doing some research to the company. All students receive information which companies will be at the career fair, so take an opportunity either the night before, or a week before, kind of just review the list, and kind of really just do that research, and come prepared to ask some questions that are very unique to that particular company.
Speaker 2: You know, this is really simple, but to me, I'm really looking for people who have people skills. So if you come up to me, and you look me in the face, you smile, you shake my hand, that makes me immediately say, okay, this is a professional person, this is somebody who understands how to present themselves to others, and this is somebody who I can probably trust to present themselves well to our clients.
Speaker 4: A student should definitely be themselves, or him or herself, because different companies are looking for different types of people, and if you're trying to be somebody that you're not, you're not going to represent your true nature. Who you are is perfectly fine. You may or may not fit into a company's culture, but it isn't something that a student should take personally, because every company is different. So that's my biggest piece of advice to a student that's interviewing today. Thank you. Thank you.
