It's because of their well-built profile. Around 72% of companies hire their employees from LinkedIn, and 63% of companies check their candidate's LinkedIn profile before offering them a job. So whether you're a job seeker or an entrepreneur looking for business connections, having a good LinkedIn profile is very important. In this video, I'm going to show you how to create a great LinkedIn profile that can stand among others and get noticed by employers. Now the first thing that catches people's attention is your profile picture. It's like your first impression. So people with professionally looking profile pictures get way more attention than those without it. In fact, they get up to 21 times more views and receive up to 9 times more connection requests. So go ahead and add a high quality profile photo of yourself. Don't worry if the background is not good, you can use an AI tool like adobe firefly to help you create the perfect background for your photo. Let me show you how. Let's go to firefly.adobe.com Select Generate a fill Drag and drop your photo Now let's change the outfit Just select the area like this And here type what kind of outfit you want Click generate Click here to find more options, then finally click keep. Now to change the background, just click here and the background will be removed. Then describe what type of background you want, click generate, then click keep. And our professional profile picture is ready. Just download the image. Go back to LinkedIn, upload it and done. The next important tip is your banner image. Having a professional looking banner can really make you stand out among other profiles. Choose a banner that reflects your industry, keep it visually clean and avoid excessive text and logos. I'll show you how to create one using Canva. Just click the link below this video and click LinkedIn background photo. Here you will find different LinkedIn background templates. You can select anything you want. I'm going to select this one. Now let's say you want to edit this text. So simply select it and add your own text. Once you're done, click share, then click download. Okay, now let's upload it on LinkedIn. Click this icon, click edit profile background, then select your banner and click apply. And your banner will be updated. Next up is your profile URL. As you can see here, this default URL has no meaning, it's just random numbers. You can create a custom URL using your name so that your profile appears higher in the google searches. For example, this one is easier to find and remember than this. It's very easy to do that. Just click the pencil icon, then again click on it, change the URL and click save. Now go here, and if you click refresh, you can see that the URL has been changed. This next tip is really important and it's your headline. It's one of the first things that people see on your profile, and instead of just listing your job title, you can showcase your expertise and what you're really good at. Now if you're stuck and don't know how to create the perfect headline for your LinkedIn profile, don't worry, there's a great tool which can help you create eye-catching headlines based on your profile. So let's check it out. Here you need to enter your name and a brief summary of your current role and work highlights. You can also copy the content from your resume and paste it here and click save. Once you're done, to generate the headline, just click here and you will get a lot of headline suggestions for your profile. Just choose the one you like and add it to your profile. This one is more engaging, so let's copy it, go back to LinkedIn, click here, paste it and click save. As you can see our headline has been changed. Alright, another important thing on your profile is the about section. This is where you can describe a few words about yourself, keep it concise and use bullet points. So use relevant keywords in your about section, like job titles, location, and key skills so that recruiters can find you easily. Just click the profile section, go to core, then click add about. And here you can describe your experience and skills. And you can also mention the achievements you've made. With gravity right, you can easily generate personalized content based on your profile. So let's go back to grab2write, where we have generated our headline. Now scroll down and here you will find the about me generator. Just click create content. And as you can see, we have 3 different versions. If you want more versions, you can click regenerate here. Once you get the one you like, just copy it. Go back to LinkedIn and add it to your profile. The next step is to add your top skills correctly. Pick 3-4 strong skills that you really excel at and add them to your profile. This helps recruiters to quickly grasp your strengths and get you the right opportunities. It's a bonus if you get endorsements from your friends and colleagues, especially from those who share the same skills. Those endorsements really mean a lot. When you get endorsed, this is how it'll look like. Now if you need any help describing your skills, GravityWrite can help you once again. Now go back to LinkedIn. And add all the skills that you want to showcase to others. Once you're done, click save. Now if you scroll down, you can see that the above section has been updated with your top You can also add your education in your profile section. The next step is your featured section. Here you can share anything that you created, which you want to show to your recruiters. Whether it's a website you've built, a blog you've written, or something that you're proud of. And it'll appear on your profile like this. Just head over to the recommended section and go to the featured section, click on the plus symbol. And now here you'll find different options to choose from. You can share a post, showcase an article, add a link, or even include an image. I'm going to share my blog link and click add a link. Now go to the blog, copy the link, paste it here. Then add a small description and click save. Now click here and you can see the blog that we just created in the features section. The next step is to add your certifications and licenses. If you have completed any certifications, you can showcase them on your profile like this. Go to the profile section, just head over to the recommended section and select licenses and certifications. Enter in the details and save them. And your certificate will be added. If you don't have any certifications, no worries, there are some great courses available online. I've given the links for you in the description below. You can take any of these courses you want, and you can add them to your profile. Okay, once your profile is all set, what's the next step to stand out and grab more opportunities? Simple, just stay active on LinkedIn. It's so easy. Add a post regularly, it could be any updates, articles or even thoughts about your industry. Regular activity keeps you visible. So next, let's see how you can create a post on LinkedIn. Just go home, click here, and you can start creating your post. Then fill in this information And click next Here, upload your latest resume And once you're done, click next Here, check and see if everything is correct Then finally click submit This is how you can apply for a job on LinkedIn. Okay, I've got some quick tips that can bring you more connections to your profile. If you're looking for a job, you can let recruiters know by seeing your profile picture that you are open to work. It's very easy to do that. Just click on your profile picture, Go to frames, Then select open to work And click apply. Then enter a job title you're looking for. You can also choose who can see your profile picture, whether it's everyone on LinkedIn or only recruiters. Select it and click save. Your profile picture will be updated with a border like this that lets people know that you're searching for a new job. The next step would be to take up skill assessment on LinkedIn. It's a great way to show your employers that you have the skills and the expertise that they are looking for. To do that, just go to jobs and click skill assessment. You can take a quiz on any of your strong skills. Once you have completed it successfully, you'll receive a badge on your profile like this.
