Let me know in the comments down below and let's get chatting. With that out of the way, let's get straight into the video. And let's talk about the three freelance translation jobs online that I think are going to make you a lot more money than the typical three, five, maybe $10 an hour ones. So if you want to know more, stick around and keep on watching. All right, you guys, let's get straight into it. Today, I am expanding my series where I share with you specific examples of jobs that you can do no matter what type of niche you choose for yourself, however competitive it'll be, jobs that are going to make you a lot more money because they are the type of jobs that will give a lot more value to your customer. And if you've watched my video where I was talking about freelance pricing tips and strategies, which, by the way, if you haven't watched, I'm going to link down below. There, I was talking about how jobs where you influence directly your customer's business outcomes, either you help them make more money or you help them save more money, those are the type of jobs, especially freelance jobs, that are going to make you much more money. So today we talk about translation-specific ones. And the first one that I want to talk about is an Amazon product listing translation type of job. And on Upwork, I have seen this type of jobs being done for $25, $35, $45 an hour, depending on the language that you specialize in. So obviously, if you specialize in, let's say, English to Spanish or English to French, there, there's going to be a bit more competition. So you might have to look for a lower price point. But if you specialize in, let's say, Polish or Italian or Japanese, those are beautiful opportunities for you to make so much more money just with translation itself. And in this situation, it helps if you do have some sort of marketing experience, because especially what you would need to do as somebody who is translating Facebook product listings, you would need to understand what the target audience for that type of product is. And what they're looking for. And when you translate, you need to not just translate word by word, but also adapt the probably English version of the product listing so that it really speaks to the person that only speaks, let's say, Italian or Japanese or Russian or Polish. And they really get, you know, the emotion, the feeling, and it talks to their needs and pain points, and it gives them the benefits and the value if they choose to buy that product. So having some sort of marketing experience, or at least some connection with marketing, is definitely going to help you a lot more if you choose to do something like this. But it's not mandatory. You can be a very, very good product listing translator, even if you don't have a marketing experience. But it helps. As I said, for this type of job, you would be receiving the product listing or just the link to the product itself on Amazon or Shopify or wherever the product is being sold right now. Typically, that is going to be in English, and you would need to translate and adapt it into another language. And the reason why this is so important is because it helps the company that sells this product to expand into new markets, to address new target audiences, you see? So they are able to sell to a lot more people and, in turn, make more money. So this is a beautiful opportunity for you to offer your freelance translation skills and make a lot more money as you do it. All right, you guys. Job number two that I think you should consider if you are a translator looking for freelance jobs online that you can do as you work from home and provide translation services online is one where you would be translating landing pages or websites or blogs for people who want to address new audiences. Again, if you think about this, this helps companies or small entrepreneurs expand their target audience and reach more people beyond the English-speaking community. And especially for people that have started in a local language and want to address English-speaking countries and English speakers, that is even more of an exciting opportunity. Actually, a good friend of mine, she started a business in Russia that is very, very successful now. And she's looking to expand her business into the English-speaking market. So everything that she uses as her lead generation, so her landing pages, her blogs, and everything will need to be translated from Russian into English. So this kind of opportunities where you help expand a company's target audience and get into new markets is a beautiful opportunity to offer your freelance translation skills to help them make more money in turn. So look for freelance translation jobs where you can translate blogs or landing pages or entire websites to help companies address new audiences. And again, it helps if you have some sort of marketing experience, but it's not really necessary. It also helps if you're passionate about whatever they do. So if they are a travel blog, for example, it helps if you understand and enjoy traveling yourself so that you can translate and put that energy and passion into the outcome of your work. Now, in terms of payment, again, it depends a lot on the type of language that you specialize in. Because if it is a more, let's say, red ocean type of language, so if it's Spanish or French, then the price you will get will not be as large. But if you specialize in other languages that are more niche ones, then you can absolutely make a lot more money. I have recently seen on Upwork offers for Swedish to Danish or Swedish to English or Swedish to Norwegian, where they were offering $32 an hour, not a page, not a minute. They were offer and it's not related to the number of words either. It was $32 an hour. Of course, in this case, you would need to agree on a fixed price based on that type of hourly rate, because it varies on the amount of work that you will be getting from that customer as well. So you probably cannot charge them 10 hours for translating one page or 1000 words blog, but you see where I'm getting with this. You would get paid a lot more if you are able to help that customer address new markets and make more money. And job number three that I think you definitely need to consider if you are a freelance translator and you would like to make more money than the typical $3-$5 an hour is translating books or scripts. And I'll explain why in a second. Think about this. Amazon has democratized publishing. Anybody in the world can write a book and self-publish it on Amazon. And lots of people do that. But they can only target the audiences that speak the language that they have written the book or the script in. Here's where you come into play, because if you can help them translate that book or a script into other languages, then that writer can make a lot more money because they can address new markets. And the more exotic the language, obviously, the more you're going to get paid. And it helps if you speak languages that have a lot of addressable market as well, you know, like Urdu or Mandarin or Portuguese. And, you know, for Brazilian, a Brazilian market or German and so on. It helps a lot if you speak the more exotic languages, even Russian maybe. But you can absolutely make good money even if you just speak English and French or English and Spanish, because that still gives them a good new target audience to consider. So absolutely look into this kind of jobs on Upwork or other platforms where you can work with writers who are into self-publishing and that are looking to address new markets by translating their books or scripts into new exotic languages. Now, in terms of how much you can earn by doing this, it's not easy to give you an exact price because typically this kind of work is priced on a fixed price approach rather than an hourly rate. So it obviously depends a lot on the length of the book. So there isn't an exact number that I can give you, but absolutely you would get paid a lot more by translating, let's say, a 200-page book than by translating social media posts. You see where I'm getting with this? All right, so definitely look into translating books or scripts and you can even find those jobs on Upwork, as I was saying. All right, you guys, that was it for today. Like this video if you liked it. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't done so. And also share with a friend who might also be interested in making some money while doing freelance translation jobs as they work from home, even if that means doing that on the side or maybe they need a new job and you would be doing them a huge, huge favor. I hope you create everyday magic. I hope you have a lovely day and a lovely week and I'll see you next time. Bye.
