Speaker 1: Welcome to LMS Portals. Return on Investment, or ROI, is an important metric for any type of business. ROI provides a measure of the profitability of investments, allowing businesses to assess the value of different investment opportunities. By comparing the ROI of different investments, businesses can make informed decisions about where to allocate their resources and maximize their returns. By calculating the ROI, you can determine whether your corporate training program is successful in achieving its objectives. If the ROI is positive, it indicates that the training program is effective and worth the investment. If the ROI is negative, it suggests that the training program has not achieved the desired results and may need to be revised. There are four steps to calculate the ROI of your corporate training program. Start by identifying all of the costs associated with your training program. This includes the cost of developing and delivering the program, as well as any materials, equipment, or facilities required. The second step is in determining the benefits of your training program. The benefits can include increased productivity, improved performance, reduced turnover, and any other benefits that can be directly attributed to the training program. You would then subtract the cost of the training program from the benefits it has generated. Finally, divide the net benefit by the cost of the training program. This will give you the ROI of the training program as a percentage. For example, if you spent $10,000 on a sales training program, and as a result, your sales team generated an additional $50,000 in revenue, the net benefit of the training program would be $40,000, and the ROI would be 400%. Ideally, you want to see an ROI of 100% or greater, because an ROI of 100% means you've earned your investment back. At LMS Portals, we provide our clients and partners with a SaaS-based, multi-tenant learning management system that allows you to launch a dedicated training environment, a portal, for each of your unique audiences. Our platform includes an embedded course authoring tool that enables most anyone to build engaging courses quickly and easily using existing digital content, such as videos, PDFs, SCORM files, PowerPoints, and more.
