How to Handle Negative Backlash in Your Spiritual Business

Speaker 1: Hello there, hello Spiritual Biz success peeps. Kimberly Maska here, founder of Spiritual Biz Bootcamp. And just a quick video. So earlier, I believe it was last week, Judith had a question in here about that kind of negative backlash we can sometimes get from people who just don't get it. So the people out there who, I get it all the time, about spirituality and money and they say it's an oxymoron. They're like, well that doesn't make any sense. And so a lot of times people aren't ready to hear our message. And when they're not ready to hear our message, they get really wobbly with stuff. Like we're kind of, when you guys are coming out with your ideas and your new messages, it's kind of like you're tapping into their identity and their limiting beliefs. And when we are shifting what we're doing on this planet, we're all shifting consciousness here. When that happens, a lot of times we're kind of really poking at people's limiting beliefs. They're real beliefs that they've had for a very long time that they think this is how it is. So when I talk about spirituality and money, I get a lot of backlash because I am tapping into a belief system that their whole life has said you're not supposed to charge for this, it's not good, money is bad, all that kind of type stuff. So all this stuff comes up and they go, well that's not right, and so I get backlash from it. So a lot of times you guys are gonna be facing the same thing. You're gonna come into this, you're gonna have an idea, you're gonna have a way of shifting consciousness that not everyone is ready to hear. And when they're not ready to hear it, what's gonna happen is they're gonna lash out at you. They're gonna maybe send you a bad email, they're gonna comment on your Facebook ads, whatever it is, I get it all the time. And so the key here is to really realize that it has nothing to do with you. So that's number one. It has absolutely nothing to do with you, what they're saying. It's coming from their own place of pain. Really, they're probably in pain, right? They're like, I find that I get the most backlash in people about spirituality and money from the people who don't have any money. So I find that really ironic and a little humorous. So you guys will find the same thing. Like, you know, with me, people are in pain about money, they're in scarcity, they're in a poverty mindset, and they get very angry when I talk about spirituality and money. You guys are gonna find the same thing in your world. Whatever it is that you're doing and how you're shifting consciousness and helping people, they're in pain somehow. And it's because they're in pain, they're lashing out at you. And when they lash out at you, it stings a little bit sometimes. And it's hard to keep our vibration. It's like, I don't like to use the word that things are difficult, but it is definitely an opportunity for us to really work at practicing our vibration and keeping it at this high level. So when you're getting that kind of backlash from people, just know it has nothing to do with you. You are on the right path. You tapped into source. You got the information you were supposed to get. You were there presenting this information to the people who are ready to hear it. And occasionally, you're gonna bump into someone who's not ready to hear it. And when they're not ready to hear it, and it's tapping into their limiting beliefs, we're starting to shake their limiting beliefs and dismantle them. They're going to get back, and we're really just gonna lash out. And so it only has to do with them and the pain that they're in. Because when we start to dismantle people's beliefs, they don't know where to go with that. It's pretty terrifying. Truly, someone believes in one thing all the time. That's how it is. That's what the world is like. And then they discover that's not the case. It's really hard for people to get their heads around. So just know that you're shifting consciousness. You're helping people change how they think. And because of that, there's going to be backlash. And there just is. And it's okay. Just know that that's their pain. That's their limiting beliefs. That's where they are stuck. It really has nothing to do with you. There are thousands of people that are ready to hear your message and tap into your message, that are ready to hear what you're doing. And those are the people you're looking for. Those are the ones that you want to connect with. Those are the ones that you want to serve. And just know that what you're doing is for them, and not for these guys that just aren't ready to hear. So what happens when they come and they do, they create their little, I don't know, messages on your Facebook ad or what have you. When that happens, just ignore them. Like if it's on an ad or something, you're going to have to address it. Sometimes you can just delete them. Sometimes you can block them. It depends on what you want to do. But you just kind of ignore them. It really has, again, nothing to do with you. Send them love. Just know that they're in pain. Send them love. Forgive them for where they are. Give them love for where they are. And just know that they're doing the best that they can do with what they have. And just know that because someone has lashed out, that means you're on the right track, because that means you are shifting consciousness. And when you're shifting consciousness, you are juggling people's limiting beliefs, right? That's what we're doing, is we're shifting how people think. So that's part of what we do. So we have to just own that that's part of what we do. And then just know that you're on the right path. That's it. You're headed in the right direction. And if you aren't shaking too many cages, then you're not doing something right. Because if you're really here to shift consciousness, you are getting people to think differently. And that process of thinking differently may get some people to react. So just know that you really are headed in the right direction. And don't spend too much time focusing on the negative people. Just don't give them too much energy, because it's not helping anyone. The amount of energy that you would spend trying to flip someone who's not there, you could turn around and help five or six people who are ready to just send them love, give them a little forgiveness for acting how they did, know that they're in pain, that they're doing the best with what they have, and just know that you're on the right path. That's what you should be doing. And then ultimately, the goal is to hire an assistant so you don't have to see those anymore. So for me, I don't have to see them as much anymore, because I have it down as a procedure, and my assistants handle that, and I don't have to see it. So that's where you really wanna be ultimately, so that you're not seeing it at all, and just know that you're on the right path. And one recommendation, I'm giving you guys a lot of info here for some reason, but anyways, one recommendation I would do is that if you're getting something that you hear all the time, like I always hear spirituality and money, like that spiritual business is an oxymoron. So I even wrote a blog post that says, is spiritual business an oxymoron? And I basically took all the argumentative points that I had heard and had responses for all of them in a blog post, and so anytime I see that post, I just post my blog, and it just saves everyone a whole lot of time, so you just have that ready to go in your arsenal.
