Speaker 1: Have you ever heard of change fatigue? Well, it's a real thing and it's striking a lot of people right now. If I've learned one thing from lockdown, it's that fatigue can take many forms. And I see it in the teams I'm working with right now. Because of all the uncertainty, the disruptions, the new rules, the changing rules, etc. All these things take a toll. Just like change takes effort and work, dealing with changing times is also hard work. There are some people who love change. I like change, but it has to be consistent. Right now, in Sydney and Melbourne especially, things are not consistent. Now, a really powerful way for people to beat change fatigue is to give them a win. I see it with my kids' sports teams. We change their tactics. We give them new drills and they drag themselves around training, resisting the change. But when on the weekend the changes they made help them win, it snaps them out of the fatigue. Do it successfully enough times and they'll start to embrace change. In fact, they'll pursue it. So if your team is fatigued, if they're flat, and we saw so much of it late last year in Melbourne after our long lockdowns, people barely were motivated to do anything, let alone anything new or different. They were just going through the motions. They were simply surviving. And with Sydney battling at the moment, teams there are facing similar challenges. Even teams in Melbourne are being triggered by what's happening in New South Wales and feeling the overwhelm of what might just be around the corner. To combat the distractions, you need to give your team something new to focus on. You need to empower them with new skills, new tools to help them succeed in areas they haven't really tried yet. That will help them achieve more. That will help them get some wins and hold off change fatigue. In this space, if you want to learn more about this type of content, the other step you need to take is to subscribe with the notifications bell on. So the next time I do upload a video, you get told about it and you don't miss out. Now, if you're interested in storytelling, personality driven marketing, or even viral content, the next suggestion I have for you is to pick yourself up a copy of this book. It took me about six years of research to compact everything that I know into 220 pages. It's got exercises and free downloads and really is a great starting point for anyone wanting to set their voice and market themselves using video. It's available in the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, Europe, and even New Zealand through all good bookstores. And of course, you can pick it up online via Amazon and Booktopia. It's called Like, Comment, Share, Buy. There's a link to the Amazon site down below. All I can say is it's a great read for anyone who's a beginner in this space, and I'm really proud of it. So if you want to help me out even, buy this book, give it as a gift, whatever you want to do. It's there. Anyway, that's all from me. Catch you on the next one. Peace.
