Each group should have a raw egg and the office supplies should be in a pile. In 15-30 minutes, they should use supplies like newspapers, tape, rubber bands, and packing material to build a contraption that will prevent the egg from breaking when it is dropped. The contraption should then be dropped from the second or third floor to see which eggs survive. Objective. This engaging exercise uses problem-solving techniques and teamwork to bond team members. 5. The Minefield Number of participants. 4-10. Time. 15-30 minutes. Tools required. Various handheld objects and blindfolds. Rules. Use a park, empty parking lot, or another open space. Sporadically placed balls or similar objects across the space. Form pairs and blindfold one individual from each pair. The other individual must verbally direct their teammate from one point to another, without bumping into objects. The blindfolded person is not allowed to speak. Objective. This promotes communication, trust, and effective listening. 6. The Perfect Square Number of participants. 5-20. Time. 15-30 minutes. Tools required. Blindfolds and a long piece of rope. Rules. Form a circle with each person holding a piece of the rope. After being blindfolded, everyone should place the rope on the ground. Each person should walk for a short distance and return and attempt to use the rope to form a square. Objective. This promotes effective communication, trust, and leadership skills. 7. Human Knot Number of participants. 8-20. Time. 15-30 minutes. Tools required. None. Rules. Form a circle with each participant facing another. Instruct everybody to grab a random hand of somebody across from them, then use the other hand to randomly grab another hand across the circle. Set a time limit for the group to untangle the human knot without releasing their hands. Objective. This heavily relies on teamwork and good communication. 8. Scavenger Hunt Number of participants. 2 or more small groups. Time. About an hour. Tools required. Pen and paper. Rules. Form teams of at least two individuals and create goofy tasks, like taking selfies with strangers, for each team to complete. The team should be given a deadline to complete all tasks. The team that does this the fastest wins. Objective. This helps to split up cliques and encourages individuals to work with participants from other departments, teams, or social circles. 9. Before a meeting, each individual should walk around and tell a number of persons what they hope to contribute to the gathering. Objective.
