So, to help you write a world-class CV or resume, I will cover the following three things during this tutorial. Number one, I will tell you those top 10 skills you should put on every CV or resume you write. Number two, I will then give you a brilliant CV and resume personal statement that is going to grab the attention of the hiring manager. And then finally, number three, I will tell you where you can instantly download my full set of ready-made CV and resume templates that you can use when applying for any job. So, to begin with, let me tell you those top 10 skills you must always put on a CV or resume. Number one is collaboration skills. This is a great one. Now, most applicants use the word teamwork on their CV or resume. However, if you want to stand out from the competition, use the word collaboration instead. If you have collaboration skills, you understand the importance of working very closely with your co-workers and other people in the organization to achieve your goals. Number two is interpersonal skills. Now, virtually all job roles require the ability to possess interpersonal skills. Interpersonal skills is the ability to communicate and interact well with other people. Now, whether it's co-workers, customers, or external contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders, how you deal with people will make a big difference to your success in the role. That is why I strongly recommend you include interpersonal skills on your resume or CV. Number three is organizing and prioritizing skills. This is another great one. Now, the best employees are the ones who can organize their work each day without being told what to do. They take ownership of their work and they can prioritize tasks based on the needs of the organization. In fact, a great way for you to prioritize your work once you do get hired is to use a traffic light system. Red tasks need your urgent attention, amber tasks come next, and green tasks can be done when you have more time available. So, if you want to get hired, make sure you include organizing and prioritizing skills on your CV or resume. Number four is problem-solving skills. Now, all hiring managers and employers want to take on people who take ownership of problems and challenges whenever they occur. Now, the problem is most employees pass on problems or challenges to their manager or supervisor to deal with. However, if you really want to make sure your CV or resume stands out from the competition, be sure to include problem-solving skills as one of your capabilities. Number five is time management skills. This is another great one. Now, there is nothing worse than an employee who is always late, who can't complete their work on time, and who lets down their co-workers. Therefore, if you are good at timekeeping, you are reliable and punctual, then make sure you include time management skills on your CV or resume. Number six is computer proficiency skills. Now, virtually all job roles today require the ability to use either a smartphone or computer and be competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. If you are technically weak when it comes to all things internet, then you might struggle to carry out certain jobs. Therefore, I strongly recommend including computer proficiency skills on your CV or resume if you want to grab the attention of the hiring manager. Number seven is social media skills. This is a brilliant one. Now, another great skill to include if you really want to stand out from the competition is social media skills. If you are good on social media and you can post online professionally, you might just be able to help their company better promote its products and services to a wider audience, which will then help them to increase sales. Number eight is customer service skills. Now, again, most jobs require the ability to interact with either customers, clients, patients, or even passengers. And whether it's face-to-face, on the telephone, or by email, how you deal with these people will have an influence on how they perceive the company or organization you are working for. Therefore, if you are good with people and you are able to provide exceptional customer service, mention this as one of your top skills on your CV or resume. Number nine is adaptability and flexibility skills. Now, if you are adaptable in your work and you are willing to embrace change with a positive mindset, you will probably be the type of employee the hiring manager is looking for. Furthermore, if you are flexible and you are willing to carry out duties that are outside of your job description, you will definitely stand out from the competition. So, make sure you include adaptability and flexibility skills on your CV or resume if you want to stand out. Now, in a second, I will give you the 10th skill, and it's a really good one, to include on your CV or resume. But don't forget to stick around because I will then give you a brilliant personal statement that's going to help you be successful. The 10th skill to include on your CV or resume is commercial awareness. Commercial awareness is the skill of understanding how a business or organization works. Now, in the majority of sectors and industries, businesses and organizations operate to make money. It's a fact. And the only way they will achieve that goal is by delivering outstanding customer service, by making products and services their customers need and want, and by always listening to feedback so they can continually improve.
