Speaker 1: I'd say we're a global health and care transformation company that sometimes use technology as a lever to actually produce that change. So it's really about the benefit, it's about your journey, it's about where you're going and how we can help you get there.

Speaker 2: The time and hours have been reduced quite a bit, where in some services you could save a minute booking a scheduled appointment and when we do a hundred thousand appointments and things like that on a regular basis, that's quite a big saving.

Speaker 3: Technology helps us to bring down costs and that allows us to create access for many more people to the hospital. When I can reduce costs I can get more resources for my nurses and even more nurses when I want them.

Speaker 4: So we reduce our defects such as getting our discharge summaries right, get them out in a timely manner. It means that primary care have the information that they need to prevent a readmission and readmissions obviously are costly in the UK system so that's been a major advantage of the new system.

Speaker 5: We've got the discern alerts that run in the background, we're intercepting patients with sepsis and AKI, a reduced early warning score. We tend to pick that up an awful lot quicker, so in terms of patient outcomes we've noticed a big change there as well.

Speaker 6: Even when I have a new patient coming to a casualty then I can see what was the problem when he has been here the last time before the last admission and so it's a big advantage for our hospital.

Speaker 4: I think one of the major benefits for patients is the instant access to the information that's needed to make clinical decisions. I can access the system remotely, I can look at it, I can enter notes and I can make decisions from afar so it doesn't require my physical presence. It's absolutely incredibly powerful tool.

Speaker 7: We have almost no medication errors in the unit, all the patients are tracked, everything that's happening around the patient is recorded. I think that level of safety we cannot be achieved with paper. It's the best bet you can do with a clinical digital system like that.

Speaker 8: The relationship with Cerna has been very supportive, challenging and pushing us to really move forward on some of the areas and yet giving us a guiding light and and helping us along the way.

Speaker 9: HIMSS Stage 6 was a collaborative effort between the Trust and Cerna. When we were able to complete many pieces of work together with Cerna we were then in a position to be able to apply for the accreditation and have a confidence to say that we would actually succeed.

Speaker 10: It's critical that we have partnerships with our clients because it's only through engaging with them directly on what makes a difference to the end user that we're able to come up with a usable solution. It's great to go create something in a lab but if we don't have our clients with us partnering on what that solution looks like, there's almost no point doing it.
