“I was generally impressed by GoTranscript's captioning results. There were errors, but the work was much better for the same project than those I received from rev.com: better timing, better sound descriptions. My captions did not meet the one-day deadline, but I do admit that the project was a difficult one. I was warned that the captions would be late by your customer support, though, and was given a revised timeline for delivery. I do have suggestions. First, your captioners for the d/Deaf and hard of hearing need to use proper video captioning formatting (signifiers for song lyrics and dashes when a new speaker speaks, etc). And two, I think that GoTranscript should give us the ability to upload a script of the video/audio being captioned to help the captioner. Your online editor is sub-par to others, but I would honestly rather use my own editor with better-built captions than a nicer editor with terrible ones! I’ll give GoTranscript another go!”
